Capital City Black History Program Event Set for Feb. 9 at WNC
Join the Northern Nevada Cultural Foundation for the presentation of the second annual Capital City Black History Program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Western Nevada College’s Joe Dini Library.
For the event, NNCF is presenting “Black Resistance: Creating Communities of Care and Collaboration" in partnership with Alpha Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and other Divine 9 organizations.
Dr. Marco Robinson will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Robinson is an associate professor of history and assistant director of the Ruth J. Simmons Center for Race and Justice at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.
This event is open to the Northern Nevada community.
