Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan Scoping Period

Date and Time:

October 31 @ 8:00 am - December 14 @ 5:00 pm PDT

Description:

A provision of Presidential Proclamation 9559 requires that the Bureau of Land Management provide opportunities for maximum public involvement during development of the Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan. As such, the Bureau of Land Management Southern Nevada District will hold two virtual scoping meetings to involve the public during the Scoping Period of this plan.

The virtual scoping meetings will be held online on November 29 and 30, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Pacific Time. To register to attend a meeting, please go to https://empsi.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_PGkX0vdsS_C4wGb4J1wb1A. More information on the area is available at www.virtualpublicmeeting.com/gold-butte-national-monument-ea.

The BLM is requesting public input during this Scoping Period from October 31, 2022, through December 14, 2022. Although public input will be accepted at any time throughout the remainder of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, those submitted prior to December 14, 2022, will be the most helpful for development of the Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan. Your input should be as specific as possible to ensure that the information you submit is understood, and your concerns are addressed. Scoping comments can be submitted to the BLM by:
