University of Nevada-Las Vegas issued the following announcement on October 14.

UNLV’s Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) will host Outlook, its annual, end-of-year economic forecast conference, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

U.S. Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen will give a pre-recorded keynote address and will answer questions submitted from the audience in advance. Secretary Yellen’s remarks will focus on the U.S. economy in the coming year and priorities for the Treasury Department as it relates to the Southern Nevada economy.

The half-day conference will look different than it has in the recent past. The event format will be longer including a variety of different speakers that will address important and timely economic-related topics. Attendees will have the option of attending in person or virtually.

The keynote presentation will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with CBER’s director of research Stephen M. Miller and CBER’s director Andrew Woods. The event will be rounded out by two expert panel discussions - the first will focus on the local, national, and global economy and the second will focus on entrepreneurship and innovation in Las Vegas.

Guests in attendance will receive a digital copy of CBER's Economic Outlook report directly to their registered email inbox. To purchase tickets for the in-person event for $100 or a virtual ticket for $50 visit https://cber.unlv.edu/outlook.html.
